    STEVE you better get some fucking buckshot in your 12 for home defence fuck you shoot sombody eaven in the face with a load of 6 and if they have a gun witch's most likley. Eaven if you blind them still there going to start rapedly firing all around and if you get hit with eaven a .22 your fuckin dead and hes just blind with an ugly fave now , just a really good sudgestion from jacob , id get some buck shot it might save your life oneday
    
    i should know i took a load of #7 1/2 in the leg i dident cry eather i screamed but ot a tear it made me mad as fuck and i took the hunters gun and knocked him out with the but of it though and it only went in an inch so you would only be getting an inch and a half at best! The reccomened penatration is 12 inches , you will need buckshot to take em down. also you want a nice confined patteren so you do hit him with somthing and its moving pritty fast and your not breaking everything in your house around you , the only reason you saw off the barle in the first place is so when you turn aound conners or when your walking down the hall theres not a huge barrle sticking out infront or above you. by the way i sudgest hornada TAP rounds there awsome home defence rounds!

    Sure the #6 might just piss them off but the second round is the slug. In the states you have to prove that you did everything you could not to kill them. So you yell "get the fuck out or I'll shoot." Then you shoot.
    Like I said from what I've read the 6 won't go through the drywall and hurt the kids. Now that mine are grown and gone the first shot is a slug. with my wife backing me up with her gun.

    good , im glad you have slugs :) , yea id yell get the fuck out or ill shoot too , but i have a more potent wepond i have my tatical 30-06 rifle and i can fall back on a 12ga buckshot or a glock 18

    my tac 30-06 is a remington pritty cool , it cycles faster then you can pull the trigger
    
    is yours a semi single shot or pump ? The #6 wont go through 3 towles at 10yards
    
    
    heres a little trick for gun defence for you canadians store your guns in your room have the keys in a little box beside your bed have the keys to that box ontop of your first safe ( by the way when i mean safe i meen one of those little ones for hand guns a smaller the avrage one for rifles and shotguns) then have a seprat box with all the mags charged to all your firearms then once you get your mags go to your weponds safe pull out your gun , in a safe so no trigger locks ect... (keeep your actions open when you store them!!!) slids the clip in shut the slid then proceed to your target , i know it sounds like alot or work to get your gun out but i can do it faster then the robber can open the door.

    The 12 ga is a single shot. The 20 ga are both pump. We do have 00 buckshot for both.
    
    Funny story about when I got the 00 buck: a local sports equipment store was going out of business and when the ammo came on sale my son and I went down. Him in camo pants and shirt, me in a camo shirt and OD green BDU pants. Loaded up my arms with all the ammo I could carry and headed to the cashiers.
    Now most of the people there were buying swimsuits and Tevas so they just looked at us strange. As we walked up my son says, "Dad, are these going in the bunker or in the watch tower?"
    I said, "Shhhh." and everyone offered to let us go to the front of the line.
    I declined saying it was un-american to put one person above another.
    
    Did I ever mention that my kids have a twisted sense of humor? I'm so proud. X-D
    
    Don't have a pistol. Never got around to taking the time to get the permit. All my guns, except one 22, were bought before the government started keeping records. If I got a permit that would be one more recorded reason to search my house.
    
    Sure at 10 yards the #6 loses some power but inside the home we're talking 20-25 feet. Little or no pattern at that range. Tends to make a great big hole that tears up everything in it's path. Really puts a dent in your day on the recieving end

    lol your kids pritty funny X-D X-D , yea it will hurt him pritty bad but out o the 700summod pellets in there he might only get 100 at max , buck shot will hold its pattern till about 30yards , a patteren the size of a computer screen ( dont ask me how i know that ;-) ) and will go about 7inch's in :). Thats too bad that it gives them rights to search the house in canada they wouldent have the right , im inspected once a month , i could have chose for firearms canada to come once every 6 mounths but i thought i would look better on my if they came once a month. That sucks though pistole shootings awsome :D also id eather use the 20 pump with 00 or the 12 with a slug because single shots suck and ull need all the stopping power you can get before you need to reload

    At least here we don't have that yet. If I knew they were coming there would be just that one 22 they know about.
    
    A few years ago I almost bought the plans for a Sten gun. You can make these out of pipe with a drill and a file. That's the gun the underground used in WWII. 900 rounds a minute and very illegal.
    Like I said: almost bought the plans. I try to stay legal in every thing I do. Easier that way.

    they only inspect me because i own over 30 and i have my prohibited licence so i can own illeagle firearms and they asked if i would let them inspced and i said yea because if it dident that would piss them off because they would need to get a serch warrnt and then id be more likely to be arrested for having a shotgun shell in my room or somthing minor like that that they wouldent care about if i wasent trying to act like im hiding somthing.
    
    some of the firearms i own ( prohibitied) glock modle 18 barret gun ( 50cal) ar-15, c-7, m16 a2 , .25cal 1inch barrled pistole lots of very small pistoles and 1 sagia shotgun.

    I'm sure that if you had the federal permit in the states to own full auto guns you would have to be inspected to make sure you weren't selling them off. But for semi auto shotguns, rifles and pump or single shot no inspection or limit on how many you can own.
    Gotta love the 2nd amendment and the NRA for fighting to keep it.
