Don't hold back. Just be respectful and give us your thoughts. What is right and what is wrong and how to fix the wrongness. If this goes live than it should be ready to roll and giving suggestions is the way to help.

I love it. Really no holding back or anything. If I didn't like something I would have started ranting by now. Thank god we missed that wreck. Yep love it, hands down.

Not sure if what MissLalala means is that she likes the way we can talk about anything or that she likes the change from the old forum.
As for talking about anything and not holding back: I'm all for that or I wouldn't be an admin.
The layout and features of this new type of forum leave a lot to be desired. I liked the ease of quoting someone we had. Along with Bold, underline, italics, lists, images and links (url). Those all added flavor and kept us on track during some long strings.
Mostly it might make it harder for boo and me to root out bots. I know they are here, as I've recognized some bot usernames, but I haven't seen a post from them so far. Maybe the software for this type makes it hard for them to post but I don't like that they can join and inflate the membership numbers. I'd rather see low numbers of active people then high numbers of members with most not posting (bots)
All and all, at this point I don't really like the new style. Maybe it can be tweaked to make it better (more user friendly).

Answer: go into Admin- Users- find them and click on Edit. There's a Delete User button.
The tricky part is identifying them. We don't have an easy way to check thier website link which was the fast way to id the bots. I sure don't want to wait until they post.

What do you mean about the titles? If you mean what it looked like on the home page those are at the bottom. I'd rather they were at the top.

Regarding markup... It's too bad there isn't a simple GUI for doing this in bbPress. bbPress uses basic HTML.

Thanks for adding the Quote feature and trying to explain HTML. Not everyone knows what "These are the HTML tags you're allowed to use: a blockquote br code em strong ul ol li." means or wants to type it in when a nice button could do the work as it did in the old forum style/type.
As we go I'll work up a FAQ topic for just this sort of thing, unless you want to (hint).
How about adding:
Allow Images- hmmm pretty pictures
Personal Messaging Very important to help keep the threads on track
Member List- I think everyone should be able to see contact info on everyone else
Since Last Visit or Indicate New Posts- to help me remember when I was on last and where I left off
Simple Online List So I know who is online with me.
I'd like a Preview function with spell check but that's not available yet. There is this feature on Newsvine. and as a spelling challenged person I like that.
And last but not least is that some sort of list feature would be nice to make a post like this be a bulleted list. That is another not yet avaiable but would be nice feature

And I don't really want to learn HTML on top of this.By the way, I still don't understand the "ul ol li" thing. I know you tried to explain it, but I have such an anti-HTML brain, so I still don't get it.
It seems to me the only thing we're gaining is the ability to comment the videos, but losing everything that made the other forums home. But pay no attention to me. I just hate change from what I'm comfortable with. I might get used to this.
And I apologise to you Chris for how I sound. I'm really not trying to diss your judgement or anything.

Even though I do some webpages and have to be able to figure out HTML, I'm not good at coding in it. I use MS Frontpage to build/edit my websites. Some times I have to dig in and tweak the code but not too often. That's why I like buttons to do the work for me.
"a blockquote br code em strong ul ol li." Is still a mystery to me too. Can you break it down for us?
I've figured out that blockquote is for quotes because if I hit the Quote button I see that but the rest is a "What?" to me.

ok i wont hold back well i lie i will hole back but what the hell
its confusing very coloer liss very ugly boaring , eaven with the people postion theres no fun to it i cant find anything theres no ranks boo and steve got riped off of their powers ( the cool ones) theres no emotions and well there isent much of anything , the old fourms had a an awsome appereance everything was regulated and well it looked 10000000 times better , i dont think theres anything you can do to this fourm to make it better it would be way better if you just used one of those archive pages and find the old fourm and post the link here so we can all go back to useing it and having a happy/ better life

Most of Boo's and my powers are going to be there I hope. Although the way they work is not apparent to me at this time.
We are still serve the same function but on here the guy who set it up has a user name of "admin" so that might be why we are now called "moderators". Or I could be wrong and it's just what our position is called on this type forum. I'd rather be an Administrator then a Moderator.
I must say that this style forum has got a very unfriendly feel to it. Maybe it's because the way its been set up is a bit boring and sterile. Maybe I'm just a button pusher that likes that I could underline, bold, or italicize at will. Oh, yeah and let's not forget smilies. Unless they come back this will suck big time.
I was told that the main reason the forum was changing is that we could comment on the videos. I've looked and looked and there is no way I can see that there is a change from the old forum. We still have to click the "Forum" button to get here to post. What's up with that?

hey all. We're on the road now, but keeping an eye on feedback. There are plug-INS to make this more like the old forums, some of which have been installed. When I get home I'll look more into Z19-izing the look of the forums. It is something we want to do.
