   Okay kids,
   
   We here at Zanzibar19 are serious filmed comedy fans. And serious fans of BATTLESTAR: GALACTICA, but that's so goddamn nerdy we should probably keep it to ourselves.
   
   The point is, we think a lot about comedy, what makes for good comedy, and would love to hear what you think.
   
   So we've put together this little topic to see what your favorite TV comedies are, and why. We've also included a poll of some of our favorite comedies and some 'all time favorites' from around the net. We've tried to concentrate on sitcoms mainly, but included the biggest sketch comedy shows in there too. We've left off dramadies like WONDER YEARS and FREAKS AND GEEKS because, well, we're looking for the pure comedy.

   i voted scrubs!
   that show is truley funny
   it is possibly the only show in existeance that can pull off a comedy about a hospital
   i has great actors(ZACH BRAFF!!!!!!)
   umm yeah
   i woulda voted southpark if it were up there
   but it wasnt

   a comedy must be funny(of course)
   it must have random pointless jokes
   it must have good actors (or voice over actors)
   it must be mind numbing
   stand up is good but i like staged shows
   
   
   
   P.S.~ to zanzibar team~ there should be a stand up episode of Snowmen hunters

   Okay. I might be saying the following because I believe it, or to stir things up. But...
   
   I love SCRUBS. I really do. It is one of the best comedies on TV over the last few years. Random, ridiculous stuff... But we got two votes for it? Really?
   
   Yeah, I know the poll just got started, but so far we have two votes as the best comedy of all time when classics like CHEERS, M*A*S*H and SEINFELD go votelss? Wow.

   Cheers, MASH, and Sienfeld were good but only against the backdrop of their time of creation. Not as funny now.
   
   Kids in the Hall was my vote. I love the bizare nature of the sketchs. I mean the french fur trappers canoeing through a city skinning out "suits" was simply inspired.
   
   If Red Green had been on the list I'd have voted twice.

    there about 7 on there that i couldent pick from there all so good
    
    the simpsons do nto suck you just dont have a good sense of humour , yea some eapasodes are boaring / dumb and others are really funny and come on homer is awsome

    a forty of jd's will do the trick
