I wish I could go into some long, nuanced explanation of how killing snowmen has some symbolic meaning, but in reality it's just damn funny to us to see cute, defenseless icons of childhood mowed down as though they were some sort of demons.</p> <p>Yeah, as the series has gone on we've tried to inject some sort of... subtext... to the snowmen, but that was all after the fact.</p> <p>What R and I have found consistently funny is how fans take on Sherman's view of the world even though it's obvious he's bat-crap crazy. Every time you see a snowmen in the show, they're standing still doing nothing but looking cute. The first kill in the first episode (with the magic 'winter birds' chirping happily in the background) kind of says it all for us.</p> <p>A man so crazy as to see that as a threat is funny to us. We got into the top 20, but didn't win. Eventually, we decided to put them out on a weekly basis starting September 6, 2006. The rest is infamy.</p> <p>We became YT partners after we began to get a lot of views/subscribers between October and February of 2007. We knew they were starting the program, and then begged them like crazy. It's a program we have a lot of hope for, in the future. It seems like they're still getting it going right now. Maybe it was just a warm year (i.e. I don't want to get into all the fluxations/ect. of global warming) but we weren't able to shoot until later in March in CA, and it was kind of warm.</p> <p>The reason the whole season is like this is because we shoot a lot of episodes over a few days. We're still cutting episodes from the stuff we shot in March, and will probably have episodes to get us into, or maybe through, October. Ryan has a 100A, I have 100Bs. We've also shot a few interviews (mainly those in the cabin in the first season) with an HVX200, but we're not going balls-out in HD yet.</p> <p>For sound, we use a big-ass shotgun mike of Ryan's (I think it's a Rhode mike, but I can never remember). For voice, we usually Sennheiser EW-100 G2 wireless mics.</p> <p>For scripting... we don't have scripts. But I think that's apparent.</p> <p>As for cutting, well, there we kind of missteped. We cut on PremierePro, which is a great program, but NOBODY uses it. We're transitioning to Macs and Final Cut Studio soon. If you want to know what to buy, buy a Mac and get Final Cut. It's a no-brainer (another indication, besides the show, we're morons).</p> <p>Now if you've got any other questions... shoot away. </p>
