When you don't feel well what kind of food makes it all better? Something Mom cooked or a dish you discovered later?</p> <p>For me I cook up a nice batch of raw fried potatoes and onions. Slice the taters thin and the onion into slim wedges. Saute in a lot of butter. I start with a 1/4 pound and add more if needed. Cook in a nice cast iron fry pan over medium heat. A cover on the pan helps keep the heat in and get the taters partailly cooked. Then off with the lid and keep turning them until there's a nice crunchy crust. You can add garlic if you want near the middle of the cooking (I do) and put on a generous amount of cayan pepper for flavor.</p> <p>This is a good side or you can add in some sausages or hamburg or corned beef to make a one pan meal.
